Class Yew
Welcome to Yew Class! Supporting your children in the classroom are: Donella Machin the class teacher, as well Olivia and Lee our amazing teaching assistants.
In our class:
- Special Breakfast is every Friday morning where we have a great range of tasty and healthy breakfast foods. We also celebrate our pupils' achievements throughout the week and our rights-respecting stars with certificates.

Our Learning Autumn 2 2024
ENGLISH
This term we will be looking at ‘Hidden Figures' by Margot Lee Shatterly, and 'The Lost Happy Ending' by Carol Ann Duffy.
MATHS
As mathematicians, we will focus on Time, Multiplication and devision, Fractions and Measure.

SCIENCE
As scientists, we are focussing on Bright Sparks, looking at Light and Electricity.
Geography
As geographers, we will be learning about Population change.
Our big question is ‘Why does population change?’
ART
As artists, we will be focussing on Painting.
D&T
As designers, will be looking at Digital world: Monitoring devices. In this unit we will be looking at the development of thermometers.
COMPUTING
As technology users, we will look at Coding. Learning how to use databases on purple mash.
PSHE
As global citizens, the theme for this term is Relationships and Sex Education (RSE).
RE
As global citizens, we will continue this half term with our key question: What do religions say to us when life gets hard?
PE
This half term we will be taking part in Swimming lessons.
