PINE 2024 - 2025

Hello and welcome to our class page for: 

Class Pine

Iram Hussain is the Class Teacher in Pine, along with Max and Melika who are the Teaching Assistants.

Special Breakfast happens each week on a Friday where we give our certificates to our Rights Respecting Superstars and find out which Duty bearers have earned an extra special mention too.

Please try and read with your child regularly either online using Active Learn or using a reading book if you have requested one to be sent home.  

Our Learning Autumn 1 2024

ENGLISH

In Autumn term we will be looking at ‘People Need People’ by Benjamin Zephaniah. We will then move on to 'Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief' by Rick Riordan. In the last 2 weeks, we will be focussing on 'Hidden Figures' by Margot Lee Shatterly.

MATHS

As mathematicians, we will focus on Number & Place Value , Addition & Subtraction and Multiplication & Division.

Make sure you go on TT Rockstars and My Maths at home to do extra practice to help you. (See links at the bottom of the page).

SCIENCE

As scientists, we are focussing on Classifying Living things.

HISTORY

As historians, we will be learning about The Maya Civilization.

ART

As artists, we will be focussing on Drawing.

D&T

As designers, will be looking at The Digital World. In this unit we will be looking at Monitoring Devices.

COMPUTING

As technology users, we will be looking at Coding.

PSHE

As global citizens, the theme for this term is Living in the Wider World.

RE

As global citizens, we will continue this half term with our key question: What do religions say to us when life gets hard?

PE

This half term we will be taking part in Games.
