Welcome to Class Damson, the teacher is Lissette Riera  and the teaching assistants are Charlie ,Holly and Danielle. 

Special Breakfast happens each week on a Friday where we give our certificates to our Rights Respecting Superstars.

The children in our class who are Y4 will be doing the Multiplication Y4 test in the 2nd and 3rd week of the half term.

At Damson Class, this term will  be full of exciting learning experiences! 

Mathematics:This term, we will be focusing on measurement. Our topics are: time, fractions, capacity and weight, lenght and we will finish our last week with money. 

English: In English class, we will be focusing on narrative writing. Our chosen book for this term, "Grandad's island ". From this text will be working:

-Pronouns

-Apostrophes for contraction and possession

-Year 2/ Year 2 common exception words

-A range of puctuation rules 

-Use of subordination and coordination sentences 

Science: Our focus in science has been on the captivating topic of "rocks and soils." We will be exploring different type the rocks and their  and their uses, various soil types and their formation processes, and the intriguing realm of fossils.

PSHE (Personal, Social, Health, and Economic Education): Our PSHE curriculum is centered on "mental and emotional health". 

We're empowering our students to become resilient individuals, boost their self-confidence, and refine their listening and communication skills. 

Art

Our lessons will be focusing on printing. Students will be able to: 

I can make a printing block, for example, by using coiled string glued to a block. 

I can use layers of two or more colors to make a multi-color print. 

I can replicate patterns observed in natural or built environments. 

I can create precise repeating patterns.

As the children come to the end of another school year, we will recognise that transition is important and will be focusing on ensuring children are ready for the summer holidays and next the next academic year.
