At Cedar Class, this term has been full of exciting learning experiences!
Mathematics: Our students have been working diligently on understanding place value, mastering addition, and subtraction. These foundational math concepts are crucial for their mathematical journey.
English: In English class, we have been honing our writing skills. We are exploring the art of writing letters, a timeless skill, and have delved into the imaginative world of character descriptions. Through these activities, we're fostering strong communication skills. Our chosen books for this term, "Super Duper You" and "Lost in the Toy Museum," have been a source of inspiration. These stories not only expand vocabulary but also impart valuable life lessons and ignite the imagination.
Forest school: Every Tuesday, we have forest school sessions ledy by Jonny are filled with excitement and physical activity. The children eagerly engage in these sessions, enhancing their physical abilities and overall well-being.
Science: Our focus in science has been on the captivating topic of "Movement and Feeding." Students have been exploring the wonders of the natural world, gaining insights into how living organisms function.
PSHE (Personal, Social, Health, and Economic Education): Our PSHE curriculum is centered on "Living in the Wider World.
We're empowering our students to become resilient individuals, boost their self-confidence, and refine their listening and communication skills. Our Talk Boost sessions, conducted three times a week, are helping students become effective communicators.
As artists we will be developing our drawing skills with a particular focus on using materials to create texture and tone. We will be learning and practising our art skills with Jo our resident artist and our class team.
As musicians, we will be listening to a wide range of musical pieces and discussing how these make us feel and why?
As the children come to the end of another school year, we will recognise that transition is important and will be focusing on ensuring children are ready for the summer holidays and next the next academic year.
At Cedar Class, we are committed to providing a well-rounded education that not only imparts knowledge but also fosters essential life skills.
We look forward to the continued growth and development of our students in the coming weeks. Stay tuned for more updates on our exciting journey!
