LIME 2023 - 2024
Anna Lee is the Class Teacher along with Pip Lamb and Callum Tipping who are the Teaching Assistants in Lime Class.
Every Friday we celebrate the achievements of the children during a Special Breakfast celebration and certificates are given out to our Rights Respecting superstars who have shone that week.
Our swimming lessons restart this half term so could you please provide your child with a swimming kit and towel each Wednesday.
We are very excited to have Forest School sessions every other Friday until Easter. The children really enjoy learning basic survival skills in our special Forest School area and they experience how to make a camp fire, even cooking food over the fire which is a real highlight!
During Spring 2 we are writing to inform in English and out texts will provide opportunities to write a non chronological report, a recount and a letter learning about the features of each.
In Maths we are starting the half term learning about time, we will move on to fractions and finish with statistics.
The Science topic this half term is Electricity where we will buils a simple circuit and we will be learning about Sound and how sound sources vibrate.
In History we are covering is the Iron Age, The Anglo Saxons and the Vikings and we will bve finding out lots of interesting facts about each period.
Our Art focus is printing, we will be making repeated patterns and creating our own printing block.
RSE this term focuses on our Emotional and Mental health and we are thinking about how our emotions can affect our behaviour and how we can manage them. We will also be thinking about resilience and what this means and how actions and responsibilities are linked.
Our Modern Foreign Language continues with Spanish and we are learning vocabulary to describe different parts of the body.
In RE we are thinking about why some people think life is a journey and what significant experiences mark this within different religions.
Finally we will be continuing with Data and Multimedia in ICT.
