BIRCH (2KG) 2020 - 2021
Welcome to Birch class!
On this page, you will find information about our current Curriculum Vehicle and learning that we are doing this half term.
This half term our Curriculum Vehicle is:
We will be finding out all about dragons! We will be writing to entertain in English and will be writing our own dragon stories. In Science, we will be learning about Animals, including humans. We will be learning about the importance of the right type and amount of nutrition as well as the functions of skeletons and muscles. We will learn how to sculpt clay in Art and will produce our own clay dragon eyes.
In addition to this, we will be learning about multiplication and division in Maths, relationships including e-safety as part of our RSHE lessons, and on our RE day we will learn about the importance of the Bible to Christians and why Jesus is so inspiring to some people. We will also continue to have the opportunity to work with our school music teacher and continue to understand our Rights through everything we do. Special Breakfast happens each week on a Friday where we give our certificates to our Rights Respecting Superstars and find out which Dutybearers have earned an extra special mention too.
Birch Class will be reading lots of books about dragons, including our current class book:
